I definitely went out too fast and ran with some guys I know I shouldn't have, but it was fun while it lasted.  I kept pace for 3 of the 5 3.5ish-mile laps.  Then I knowingly backed off just in time for a id lap 4 wall and bonk.  I had some good self talk along with the required fueling before recovering a bit mid lap 5 to finish feeling better.  Overall a great time and my endurance fitness has greatly improved over the years which is nice.  Better pacing and fueling strategy going into the SuperBull 50k in 2-weeks should yield a strong result and PR.

Great weather and views from the top this trip.  We were the first to arrive at the Tabletop trail junction and I had the pleasure of breaking trail through 15" of fresh snow for 3/4 of a mile before being caught by another party who took over for the remaining 1/4-mile to the summit.  Not as bad as some of the horror stories I've heard but it made for a good adventure.
