Nice blog! Another thing, my hobby is GS, but in addition I have modestly started with some Oa DL with a fat rolling handle. Fun and it really targets my grip in new ways.
I wonder if you have any reflections on the carry over between thick handled implements and GS training.
Ie. is the strength built with fat bars etc of benefit for GS-strength (or should one go for grip training with 35mm tools)?
Thanks!

I do believe there is some carry over and continue to use fat handles in my training. However, I feel I have experience the great grip gains from GS training than I have GS gains from grip training. Grip is a small part of the overall body, although important, strength gains here (grip) will not radiate as much throughout and into other strength areas. Whereas kettlebell/GS training has a grip component and is full body strength-endurance. Here strength gains will be noticed more readily, i.e. grip strength.

Thanks a lot! Makes sense; and I now feel comfortable to spice my GS main course with a little fat bars :-).
